About This Site

What this site is

An independent publisher writing about one product. We do not manufacture Glycobalance, we do not sell it, we do not take orders and we cannot check on yours. What we do is read the label carefully, read the literature behind the ingredients on it, and write down what we find in language that does not require a pharmacology degree.

How we are paid

Affiliate commission. If you follow a link from this site to the seller's checkout and buy something, the seller may pay us a percentage, and you pay exactly the same price you would have paid otherwise. That is the entire business model and it is printed at the bottom of every page.

It creates an obvious pull: sites paid on commission tend to write enthusiastically. Our answer to it is procedural rather than promised. We publish the parts that do not help us — the proprietary blend problem, the caffeine, the licorice derivative, the fact that a single bottle is shorter than any relevant trial — and we mark unconfirmed prices as unconfirmed instead of presenting them as fact.

How a page here gets written

1. The label first. Every factual statement about what is in the bottle is transcribed from the printed Supplement Facts panel, not from the sales page. Where the two disagree, the label wins and we say so.
2. Then the literature. For each featured ingredient we look for human trials, note the amounts they used, and compare those to what a shared 15.47 mg blend can plausibly contain.
3. Then the gaps. Anything we could not establish is written as unknown. “Not established” is a finding, and pages that never contain it are not being careful.
4. Then the safety pass. Every page is checked against a list of claims a supplement is not permitted to make before it is published.

Corrections

If something here is wrong, tell us and we will fix it and say that we did. That applies to the seller as much as to readers — if the manufacturer believes we have misread the panel, send us a photograph of the current label and we will correct the page.

Who we are not

Not doctors, not dietitians, not pharmacists. Nothing published here is personalised medical advice, and every page says so. For anything that touches your own treatment, the person to ask is the one who can see your notes.
